CHURCH MINISTRIES

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION-
Purpose: to promote through education God's Word from the Bible.
Opportunities: to organize classes for all ages
Children: Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Jesus and Me Club, Summer Camps, bibles to 4th graders
Youth: Confirmation, GDP Youth Fellowship, Camps
Adults: bible study, new members, ALPHA

CHURCH LIFE-
Purpose: to oversee, encourage and develop a sense of Christian Community and fellowship within the church.
Opportunities: fellowship dinners, celebrations (milestone birthdays, goodbys, graduation), fund-raises (annual dinner, Willow Tree food booth), church nursery, publications and library resources and Advent decorating of the sanctuary

MEMORIAL-
Purpose: to receive, solicit, record and preserve all memorial funds.
Opportunities: to oversee scholarships and fulfill the purpose

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN-
Purpose: forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, to nurture our faith through prayer and bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace and to build an inclusive, caring community for women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.
Opportunist: to serve funeral dinners, to oversee the kitchen, to offer bible studies

PROPERTY AND FINANCE-
Purpose: to be Christ's stewards in overseeing of all receipts and expenses of the church
Opportunities: review financial report, prepare the annual budget, conduct Stewardship campaign, maintain and repair the church and manse, to oversee personnel

WORSHIP-
Purpose: to oversee worship and assist the minister in planning worship, both the Traditional and Fireside Fellowship
Opportunities: to be responsible for the worship space, to be responsible for worship leaders, candle lighters and music personnel, planning of various and special types of services
